Ex-Im Bank Round-up. And The Next Step

Events unfolded rapidly following Monday Night’s 64-29 favorable Senate vote on an amendment to reauthorize the Export Import Bank of the United States. The amendment was added to consideration of the multi-year Highway Trust Fund reauthorization bill.

AIA’s Ex-Im Advocacy Reaching a Crescendo

Following up on last week’s busy schedule on Ex-Im Bank, AIA began this week with a bang, placing two more OpEds from Dave Melcher, “Protect Arizona jobs: Keep Ex-Im bank going strong,” in the Arizona Daily Star and “Melcher: The Export-Import Bank: It’s not just for big corporations,” in the Richmond, Va. Times-Dispatch. We also sent a letter signed by 72 senior industry representatives to congressional leaders urging them to pass a long-term Ex-Im Bank reauthorization.

Busy week for Ex-Im supporters

This week (July 13-17) was very busy for supporters of the Export Import Bank of the United States. The aerospace and defense community joined other manufacturers for a congressional fly-in Tuesday through Thursday.
