Director, Human Resources & Administration

Aerospace Industries Association (Rosslyn, VA) is seeking a Director, Human Resources & Administration responsible for directing, coordinating and performing all HR and administrative activities instrumental to the efficient operation of the association's offices and staff, as well as developing policies and programs that align with organizational objectives. This position reports directly to the CFO, and supervises an Assistant Operations Manager and Receptionist. HR Duties include, but are not limited to: recruit, interview and hire for vacancies; conduct new hire orientation; prepare and maintain confidential personnel files; coordinate annual performance evaluations; assist with the administration of the job evaluation and salary program; recommend and implement new policies and procedures; maintain employee handbook; administer benefits programs; handle employee relations issues in accordance with all applicable employment laws; assist with periodic reorganization of staff to meet company goals and to achieve organizational effectiveness; administer internship programs. Administration duties include: work with building real estate management firm in dealings that relate to space, building security, housekeeping, mechanical systems, equipment failure and general basic lease provisions; coordinate all aspects of corporate insurance policies and contracts; manage reception desk coverage and office management staff. Experience: 6+ years HR generalist experience. Bachelor's degree in related field required, Masters and/or PHR certification a plus.
