Director, Aviation Safety & Security
Aerospace Industries Association is seeking a Director, Aviation Safety & Security to manage execution of elements focusing on primarily aviation regulatory, safety and security issues. Duties include: identify emerging issues through government notices and press reports, review government regulatory and policy proposals, coordinate review and AIA position development with committee membership, serve as staff liaison to AIA committees and member company reps, assist AIA members in the direction of committee projects, prepare briefings, position papers, and data packages, develop program schedules and performance metrics, interface with government agencies and industry associations. Qualifications: 4 year degree, experience with civil aviation and FAA regulations, safety, flight operations, production, customer/aftermarket support &/or security systems.
