AIA APPOINTS NEW COMMUNICATIONS COUNCIL CHAIR

February 6, 2001-WASHINGTON, D.C. Dennis J. Signorovitch, vice president of communications for Honeywell Aerospace, has been appointed chair of the Aerospace Industries Association’s Communications Council for 2001. He succeeds Eugene Kozicharow, executive director of public affairs at Textron Inc.

Composed of senior executives from AIA member companies, the Communications Council is the primary link between the Board of Governors and the association. The council provides communications guidance, direction, and strategy on critical matters affecting the industry and serves as a conduit for information and best practices for AIA members.

Signorovitch joined Honeywell in 1979 and has held a number of key management assignments in media relations, financial communications, public policy issues, marketing communications, corporate identity development and speech writing. A frequent speaker on current trends in corporate communications, he received his bachelor’s degree at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and his M.A. from Old Dominion University.

He is a Trustee of the San Francisco Academy, and a member of the Arthur Page Society, the Conference Board’s Council of Communications Executives, and the Society of Aerospace Communicators.
