AIA's Aerospace Facts and Figures, 2002/2003 Now Available
WASHINGTON, D.C., January 3 - WASHINGTON, D.C., January 3 - The 50th edition of Aerospace Facts and Figures, a comprehensive statistical yearbook of the U.S. aerospace industry, is now available from AIA.
Compiled by AIA's Aerospace Research Center, the book contains tables and text summarizing aerospace industry activity through 2001. Also included are government budget estimates for 2002 and 2003 and historical data on aircraft production, missile and space programs, air transportation, research and development, foreign trade, employment, and finance.
New to this edition are data from the Boyd Company showing key operating costs for many aerospace manufacturing centers. Also new to this edition are figures from the Futron Corporation showing orders and backlogs of commercial GEO satellites and launch vehicles.
Founded in 1919 as the Aeronautical Chamber of Commerce of America, AIA began publishing industry production figures in 1925. A statistical study of industry data was first published in 1945.
