Princi, Neil Join AIA Staff
WASHINGTON, D.C., January 16-- The Aerospace Industries Association announces the appointment of Michelle Princi as Director of Membership and Monika Neil as Director of Electronic Enterprise Integration.
Michelle Princi comes to AIA from the Vision Council of America, where she served as the Senior Manager of Divisions & Councils from 2000 to 2003 and as Manager of Meetings and Conventions from 1998 to 2000. In this position, she developed strategic plans and managed the operations of the three member divisions. In addition, she served as acting manager for two industry councils and oversaw the association’s member services implementation of overall strategic plans. She received her bachelor’s degree in English and Psychology and her master’s degree in Business Administration from Marymount University. In her new position at AIA, she is responsible for directing all membership functions, including recruitment, retention, and research and development of new member segments.
Monika Neil joins AIA with a distinguished record of more than 20 years in the commercial aviation industry working for a major aircraft manufacturer and an airline. She comes to AIA from the Airline Transport Association (ATA), where she served as coordinator of the international SPEC2000 program, the leading e-Business specification for the world airline and supplier community. She has experience in operations strategy and management, and helped to develop industry standard compliant technical data exchange between aircraft operators, manufacturers and suppliers. Neil also served as the SPEC2000 (EDI) Coordinator in Materials Management for American Airlines and she worked for many years as a Systems/Business Analyst with Douglas Aircraft Company. She holds advanced degrees in humanities from the University of California, Los Angeles, and the University of Southern California.
