Since 1945, AIA’s Research Center has published Aerospace Facts & Figures, a statistical handbook recognized worldwide as the authoritative compendium of U.S. aerospace industry data. In 2011, Facts & Figures will undergo the most sweeping transformation of its history when AIA partners with Embry-Riddle University to publish a new aerospace industry handbook.
Aerospace Industry Report 2011 will consolidate the strengths of a leading aerospace academic institution with those of the premier trade association representing the nation's major aerospace and defense manufacturers. This industry-academia collaboration will retain much of the history and tradition of Facts & Figures while adding new analysis presented in a fresh, more visual format. Sections cover the national and international economies, aerospace industry economic information, civil and military aircraft production, foreign trade, R&D, federal budget, employment, as well as other industry metrics. Emerging issues such as rare earth minerals and strategic metals, and counterfeit parts will be included.
Currently, the Aerospace Industry Report 2011 is the only edition available for purchase.
