Good afternoon and welcome to the Aerospace Industries Association’s Year-End Review and Forecast. This year marks the 48th year-end analysis we’ve presented. I know a lot of hard work goes into making this one of our most popular events of the year, so I want to thank the Communications Council for your great support. The Year End Review and Forecast audio recording from the event may be downloaded as an MP3. The recording has been edited for content and time.
The U.S. aerospace industry booked a relatively strong performance in 2012, despite the impending policy changes that threaten to damage the strength and competitiveness of our industry due to budgetary sequestration. During 2012, our industry remained one of the most significant contributors to the national economy. Despite persistently sluggish market conditions around the globe, annual sales are expected to top $218 billion in 2012.

Testimony

Government decisions directly impact the ability of our industry to mobilize and these decisions could either weaken – or preserve -- the capacity to do so rapidly.
