Arlington, Va. — The Aerospace Industries Association participated in a meeting today with informal Hillary For America advisors on issues of importance to our industry. As the Voice of American Aerospace and Defense, AIA’s role is to educate our elected leaders, candidates for office and the general public on the importance of our industry to our economy and national security. AIA previously briefed Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump.
The summit will bring together leaders from industry, government, and education, along with Presidential campaign advisors and Congressional staff, to discuss challenges and plans for the future of STEM education and workforce development.
London — Five students from Odle Middle School in Bellevue, Washington, took first place in the International Rocketry Challenge at the 2016 Farnborough International Airshow on July 15. The U.S. team, sponsored by the Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN), bested teams from the United Kingdom, France and Japan. This is the second straight year a team from the United States claimed the international title.
