FAA Commercial Space Transportation Conference

NASA Administrator Charles Bolden, Jr., Secretary of Transportation Raymond "Ray" LaHood, FAA Administrator Randy Babbitt, Gen C. Robert Kehler, Commander for U.S. Air Force Space Command, and Ken Bowersox, Vice President of Astronaut Safety and Mission Assurance for SpaceX are keynote speakers at the 13th Annual FAA Commercial Space Transportation Conference, to be held on Wednesday–Thursday, 10–11 February 2010 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Virginia.

Closely following the release of the Administration’s FY2011 budget, this conference brings together government leaders, policymakers and technical experts to discuss developments in commercial space transportation, which the Review of U.S. Human Spaceflight Plans Committee has identified as a key component of future U.S. space policy initiatives.

This event addresses both the established and emerging commercial space sectors, including the status of NASA’s COTS & CRS activities, the future of human spaceflight regulatory developments, Augustine report analysis, and definitions of commercial space. Attendees will learn first-hand the status of and issues affecting the established and emerging commercial space sectors in the areas of technologies, business, and regulation.
