NRO 50th Anniversary

AIA congratulates the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) and its workforce on 50 years of “vigilance from above.”

The NRO and its products exemplify the importance of aerospace technology to US security. Their systems helped win the Cold War, assure treaty compliance and continue to provide our national security community – most critically, our nation’s warfighters – with a critical edge.

Now more than ever, it’s vital that the sustained and stable investments are made to ensure the US remains second-to-none in overhead reconnaissance.
