Inmedius Advisor SGML+XML Quality Assurance Solution Enhanced
Pittsburgh, PA - Inmedius, Inc. announces the latest release of Inmedius Advisor, an advanced software tool that enables an organization to ensure the quality of its SGML and XML documents through the use of extensive quality validation rules. The latest Advisor release, Version 1.1, adds XML Path Language (XPath) rules, allows for logical groupings of rules, and expands attribute and reference validation options. With Advisor v1.1, technical documentation authors can select an XPath rule and then customize it to their requirements. XPath is a language for finding information and navigating through elements and attributes in an XML document. Another new software feature allows users to logically group their validation rules into 'AND/OR' combinations. Other Advisor enhancements include additional rules that extend the ability to check, verify and compare attributes. The easy-to-use program automates quality assurance, so that publication authors no longer have to manually check each and every document. Advisor provides the ability to configure custom content rules that go beyond basic syntax checking, from an extensive library of validation templates. Content rules are created in the graphical interface, SGML or XML documents are selected to validate, and Advisor takes care of the rest. Authors receive a detailed report of each problem, so they can easily update content.
