John J. Higgs Appointed Vice President Fluid Management Solutions
LYNNWOOD, Wash. - February 13, 2008 - Crane Aerospace & Electronics, a segment of Crane Co. (NYSE:CR), announces the appointment of John J. Higgs as Vice President of Fluid Management Solutions. In this role, Higgs will be responsible for the entire Fluid Management Solutions process from product concept to launch and from order to delivery. Fluid Management Solutions is comprised of positive displacement and centrifugal pumps for aircraft engines, fuel flowmenters for measuring fuel flow rate in turbine engines, fuel gauging systems for measuring fuel in aircraft fuel tanks, and a line of high performance pressure sensors. Higgs joined Crane Aerospace & Electronics in 1988 as an engineering student in the Elyria, Ohio site's engineering co-op program. In 1991 he was hired full time as a project engineer. Since then, he has held increasingly responsible positions, most recently as the Group Director of Fluid Management Solutions. Higgs received a bachelor of science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Akron and a masters degree in Mechanics and Design from Case Western Reserve University.
