SEA CORP SELECTs INMEDIUS

PITTSBURGH, PA - Inmedius, Inc., a global leader in providing lifecycle management solutions for technical information assets, announces the purchase of its S1000D Publishing Suite software by Systems Engineering Associates Corporation (SEA CORP), a firm whose core business is providing services to the United States Navy, chiefly for Submarine Non-Propulsion Electronic Systems (NPES).
The multi-user contract includes onsite training and ongoing maintenance in support of the Navy's Digital Data Policies and the development and conversion of Navy technical data. The data conversion project is the first Navy submarine program to begin plans towards implementing the S1000D" Specification. The goal of this project is to prove that naval submarine programs can share technical data across NPES subsystems and ultimately provide overall cost savings with the technical data development and training areas.
"The Inmedius S1000D Publishing Suite was chosen for this task after extensive product research because it provided the best overall S1000D authoring capability," explained Dave Miller, President, SEA CORP. "From our point of view it provides the most S1000D compliant development suite on the market today. Our development team has tested the Inmedius S1000D Publishing Suite interoperability with other S1000D products on the market and we have found that the Inmedius products fall well within the true intention of the S1000D Specification. The technical data we have developed is truly shareable across platforms."
"We welcome SEA CORP and the U.S. Navy program to our growing list of worldwide customers," noted Gary L. Schaffer, Inmedius President and CEO. "Inmedius is proud to be part of this important project, providing SEA CORP with high quality S1000D-compliant software that will insure interoperability within the Navys infrastructure."
