SEA and IAQG Form Key Aerospace and Defense Alliance.

Irvine, Calif. - The Supplier Excellence Alliance (SEA) and the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) announced the formation of a milestone alliance that will focus on rapidly advancing their mutual goals. The organizations will combine forces and activities to avoid duplication of effort in improving processes used by aerospace and defense supplier companies, while delivering better results more quickly. As an alliance of leading industry prime contractors, tier-ones, and suppliers, SEA's purpose is to accelerate supply chain performance by improving supplier performance and helping the aerospace and defense supply chain become more adaptive, agile and aligned. IAQG serves as an umbrella organization for ISO/AS9100. It implements initiatives that make significant improvements in quality and reductions in cost throughout the value stream by establishing standards and maintaining operation and trust between international aerospace companies. According to SEA Chairman, Michael Beason, "This alliance will help to further solidify customers and suppliers in the aerospace and defense supply chains." SEA Member Companies include BAE Systems, The Boeing Company, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman Company, United Technologies, Parker Aerospace, Rockwell Collins, Pratt & Whitney, Hamilton Sundstrand, Sikorsky Aircraft, Textron, Cessna Aircraft, Honeywell, TW Metals, Bombardier, Hitco Carbon Composites, Firth Rixson, Dresser-Rand, Roberts Tool Company, Cristek Interconnects, Smiths Aerospace and Bodycote Thermal Processing.
