Robust Software Architecture Speeds Editing & Management Function Delivery
Pittsburgh, PA - October 30, 2008 Inmedius showcased its support for S1000D™ Issue 4.0 authoring and management functionality at its first User Conference and the ATA eBusiness and S1000D Forum last week. Both events were held in Budapest, Hungary. The company expects to deliver new functionality and support in its Inmedius S1000D Publishing Suite™ by the end of this year, making it the first software developer to implement support for the recently announced and complex Issue 4.0 requirements.
“Inmedius is committed to the ongoing development and swift implementation of new features and capabilities to support changes to the S1000D Specification,” stated Gary Schaffer, CEO and President, Inmedius. “While other software companies typically have as long as 18 month product development cycles, Inmedius continues to lead the market in S1000D product and service delivery. Our clients can anticipate receiving Version 4.0 releases of both S1000Dmanager™ and S1000DauthorPro™ in the near future, enabling them to be the first to address and respond to the new Specification requirements for their customers and S1000D projects around the world.”
The comprehensive Inmedius S1000D Publishing Suite is a fully integrated, seven module solution set, supporting the entire S1000D documentation lifecycle. Easy to implement, maintain and use, the software addresses every facet of an S1000D project to capture, create, manage and deploy technical information.
“The unique design and flexible data architecture of our S1000D Publishing Suite, allows Inmedius to easily adapt and support changes to the Specification,” explained Sean Rushing, Inmedius Director of S1000D Products and Services. “We quickly incorporated Issue 2.3 and 3.0 changes into the Publishing Suite toolset and Inmedius will be the first to support Specification Issues 1.7 through 4.0 for our customers.”
A new Inmedius Webinar entitled, S1000D Issue 4.0: What It Means to You, provides an overview of what’s new and different in the Specification, along with how the S1000D Publishing Suite addresses the creation and management of technical data in the new format.
