Lockheed Martin Global Vision Center Tour
A F-35 Lightning II rips through a cloud-spotted sky, the pilot punches one of a hundred buttons and watches with satisfaction as seconds later a column of white smoke pours from a warehouse below. The pilot pulls up the plane and heads to an aircraft carrier awaiting him in the gulf of Crystal City, Va. Enemy warehouses and planes don’t stand a chance against the 32 Air Force ROTC students from North Point High School in Waldorf, Md., who are flying the simulators and exploring the technology at Lockheed Martin’s Global Vision Center.

Goodrich Corporation’s Wheels & Brakes facility in Troy, N.C., contributed more than 700 new and used books to the community’s Summer Lunch Buddies program, and Lockheed Martin and Eaton Aerospace joined in Jackson, Miss., to host students, elected officials and members from the media to fly the F-35 simulator – just two examples of how companies rolled up their sleeves to make this first-ever National Aerospace Week a success.
