Summer Regional and SMC Meeting Hosted by Embraer
You can’t afford to miss the most informative and collaborative meeting in aerospace and defense - AIA's first ever combined Regional and Supplier Management Council Meeting, July 26-29, at the Weston Resort in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Our meeting will be hosted by Embraer Aircraft Holding, Inc.
We’ve combined the best elements of AIA’s Regional Meetings into the new and improved Supplier Management Council. In addition, this is your chance to learn more about the new opportunities for involvement in the leadership and governance of the SMC.
We’ve confirmed the following, and we are expecting much more:
-
Gary Spulak, President of Embraer Aircraft Holding, Inc. will be in attendance, hosting a dinner for all participants and welcoming members to their showroom in Fort Lauderdale.
-
Embraer is bringing senior leaders from Brazil, including many supply-chain representatives, for group and one-on-one discussions with AIA members about its new assembly plant and how to do business with Embraer.
-
A panel discussion with senior industry leaders on global, operational and strategic risk management, in the wake of the disaster in Japan.
-
A panel discussion with Defense Department leaders including Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Manufacturing and Industrial Base Policy Brett Lambert on encouraging a robust industrial base from a Department perspective.
-
A state of the aerospace and defense industry review by Aviation Week & Space Technology's Senior Technology Editor Graham Warwick.
-
A state of the airline industry briefing from the Air Transport Association.
-
A discussion on post-export control reform and global opportunities for suppliers exports.
