First Quarter 2007
As is fairly usual for the aerospace industry, most indicators took a breather in the first quarter of 2007.
Sales, profits, orders, and foreign sales (i.e., exports) all dropped after racing through a record setting
2006. Still, year-over-year, the quarter’s performance was up sharply from 2006, (e.g., profits were
up 21%), suggesting that the decreases are most likely a minor diversion in the industry’s overall growth
trend.
