Second Quarter 2001
Helped by higher exports, aerospace sales increased 15%. Most notably, military export sales jumped 30%. Higher sales, however, didn't increase profits or employment. Both were virtually unchanged. New orders declined again--reflecting both a natural decline from last year's record and the broader economy's recession.
