Third Quarter 2006
Though aerospace sales dipped slightly from the second quarter, they increased more that 4.5 billion compared with the third quarter of last year. At nearly $59 billion, orders topped sales meaning that the backlog of unfilled orders continues to grow. Export sales increased slightly, to nearly $21 billion—and employment continues to climb. While some indicators declined slightly, all show signs of industry health.
