Fourth Quarter 1998

Shipments of 191 commercial transports (113 to foreign customers) raised sales and exports to record levels in the fourth quarter of 1998.  Meanwhile, profits and employment declined.  Still, for 1998 in its entirety, profits, sales, and exports rose to record highs and orders equaled 1997's level.
