AIA at Singapore Airshow 2016
February 16, 2016
AIA is making a big splash at the Singapore Airshow this week. The push is all about international trade with our close friends and allies in the Asia Pacific Region and supporting the ratification and implementation of the Trans Pacific Partnership. TPP stands to increase trade in this important region for the United States, and increased trade means increased demand for our industry’s products and services.
On Monday, we held a press conference announcing our new partnership with Kallman Worldwide to leverage our combined capabilities to achieve our mutual goals to enhance trade opportunities for aerospace and defense companies around the world. Read our press release here.
We also participated in the U.S. International Pavilion ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, highlighting the importance of TPP to our industry, and citing the sizeable presence of U.S. companies as a demonstration of the value our industry sees in the Asia Pacific Region. Read our release on the ribbon cutting here.
We also took the opportunity to meet with member companies such as AeroVironment who are exhibiting in the U.S. International Pavilion.
And finally, here are some photos of the platforms in the DOD Corral — a highlight of the importance of security cooperation and foreign military sales to the peace, security and stability of the Asia Pacific Region.
