AIA is ramping up in preparation for the Farnborough Airshow 2018.
We had a robust presence at the 2016 Farnborough International Airshow, supporting our member companies and assisting U.S. military aircraft and crews. With the F-35B’s international trade show debut, the celebration of Boeing’s 100th anniversary, and a full schedule of roundtables and receptions, the show was a tremendous success. Between AIA’s presence in the U.S. Pavilion and our Operations Center, we were able to host twelve roundtables and policy dialogues. The audience in attendance included industry and distinguished visitors from the Departments of Defense, State, and Commerce, as well as the states of Virginia, Oklahoma, and Indiana. A highlight was the Third Offset Innovation Forum. The forum was hosted by AIA between Under Secretary of Defense Frank Kendall, UK Minister of State for Defence Procurement Philip Dunne, and top-level executives from both U.S. and UK firms. AIA’s responsibility for organizing and executing this event, as well as many others, further cements our role as the convener of choice for U.S. government and industry engagement.
