As an advocacy organization, AIA continually seeks to advance our industry and help our members engage with government and congressional officials. AIA will head to Capitol Hill with member companies for a Congressional Fly-In on Tuesday, May 19, 2020. This event coincides with the AIA Board of Governors meeting in Washington, D.C. on May 19-21. The Board of Governors Meeting is open to all AIA members – but attendance is not required to participate in the fly-in. A Congressional Fly-In brings AIA member companies to directly engage Congress in D.C. Our staff will help company representatives with key messaging and set up individual meetings with congressional members and staff from a company’s district. Legislators need to hear from the aerospace and defense industry about the impact that policies have on our sector. Our hundreds of members, especially the small and medium-sized businesses, are a key voice in that conversation. It is essential to have congressional leaders hear our industry’s concerns and thoughts not only from AIA, but also businesses from the states and districts these officials represent.
Registration for this event will open soon. There is no cost to participate.
