Heritage Month Spotlight: Jay Malave, Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, L3Harris Technologies

Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
#HispanicHeritageMonth recognizes the deep historical connections of Hispanic and Latino communities in the U.S. and celebrates the many valuable contributions of individuals with Hispanic backgrounds.
At this time of year, I often think about Roberto Clemente – a Hall of Fame Major League Baseball player. While his athletic career and achievements on the field were noteworthy, his most important contributions were his generosity and sacrifice off the field. On December 31, 1972, Clemente died in a plane crash while on the way to deliver aid to earthquake victims in Nicaragua.
I believe we can all learn something from his life. As #L3Harris employees, we have a strong footing in the economic landscape of our communities. Many do not. This month is a good time to think about what we can do for others, as Clemente did.
It is through our own individual contributions that we can continue the legacies of so many before us who sacrificed something for the benefit of others.
I am proud of my heritage and the role that Hispanics/Latinos have played in the positive impacts to our communities. Please join me in celebrating their contributions during Hispanic Heritage Month.
