AIA President & CEO: USMCA Strengthens North American Coordination, Provides Opportunity for Further Growth

Arlington, Va. — As the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) enters into force today, Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) President and CEO Eric Fanning released the following statement:

“The COVID-19 crisis and ongoing recovery have highlighted the importance of a harmonized, coordinated North American aerospace and defense supply chain benefitting the economies of the U.S. Mexico, and Canada. The USMCA provides a new baseline framework for strengthened trade cooperation among all three countries. Improved North American coordination is imperative to overcoming the challenges of today and preparing for those of the future, and the USMCA will help to enhance that cooperation.”
