MaryLee Pollitt serves as the Director, International Affairs at the Aerospace Industries Association and focuses on Export Controls, Trade, and Regulatory issues.

Prior to joining AIA, MaryLee began her career with Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) in the International Trade Compliance department where she focused on export licensing, compliance, and technology transfer and release policy for SNC’s Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) and Space Systems product portfolios.

After several years with SNC, MaryLee worked on General Atomics – Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) Government Affairs team, supporting predominantly the international business portfolio for the MQ-9 and MQ-1C aircraft, and the Multi-Mission Payloads (MPeX) unit. In this role, she led the coordination of GA-ASI’s technology release issues, resulting in the adjudication of GA-ASI export licenses valued at over $1.5 billion.

MaryLee grew up in Tampa, FL where she was an avid ballet dancer and beach goer. She earned her dual bachelor’s degrees in International Studies and Business Administration from the University of Florida where she received the Dean’s Medal for Excellence in Liberal Arts and Sciences. She currently lives in Washington, DC, writing an historical nonfiction novel in her spare time.
