Heritage Month Spotlight: Larry Lohman, L3Harris
May 13, 2020
VP and General Counsel
This month #L3Harris celebrates those who descend from the Asian continent and the Pacific islands of Melanesia, Micronesia and Polynesia. The month of May was chosen to commemorate the immigration of the first Japanese to the United States on May 7, 1843, and to mark the anniversary of the completion of the transcontinental railroad on May 10, 1869, made possible by the labor of Chinese immigrants.
For Larry Lohman, L3Harris VP and General Counsel, this month has always been a time for him and his family to reflect on the challenges – and accomplishments – of Asian and Pacific individuals.
“#AsianPacificHeritageMonth reminds us to reflect on and celebrate the culture and contribution of Asians and Pacific Islanders. We have been and will continue to be integral to the fabric of communities across the country and around the world.”
“In the workplace, we know that diversity and inclusion make us better as a society, a company and people. L3Harris makes diversity and inclusion a priority for how we operate as a company because it will help us continue to be a premier place to work.”
