UAM Coordinating Council Letter

The following organizations who are actively involved in supporting the development of Urban Air Mobility (UAM) applaud the Administration for including R&D for electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft — the key enabler for UAM — in its “Fiscal Year 2021 Administration Research and Development Budget Priorities.”

This UAM Coordinating Council is comprised of leadership from non-profit associations and professional societies supporting the educational, technical and/or policy issues related to UAM. This informal group meets periodically to discuss common areas which may benefit from coordination and increased communication. The objective is to better inform the government, industry, stakeholders, the public and our respective members about efforts of the associations and organizations, as well as advocate collectively on items of mutual interest. The group expects to add additional UAM-supportive non-profit organizations to the UAM Coordinating Council.
