Arlington, Va. – Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) President and CEO Eric Fanning today commended the House Appropriations Committee after they released the Fiscal Year 2027 Commerce, Justice, Science (CJS) appropriations bill, which designates funding for key agencies including the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

“Space exploration is powering America’s industrial innovation and leadership — and the House Appropriations Committee’s mark reflects that reality. Building on the success of the Artemis II mission, sustained NASA funding strengthens the future of space flight, reinforces U.S. leadership in low Earth orbit, and advances the technologies that keep America competitive,” Fanning said. “The proposed increase for NOAA’s Procurement, Acquisition, and Construction account is equally important, supporting the next generation of weather satellites on which communities, industries, and national security depend. The Aerospace Industries Association looks forward to working with Subcommittee Chairman Rogers, Ranking Member Meng, and Full Committee Chairman Cole and Ranking Member DeLauro, as well as the full Congress, to keep exploration and innovation at the heart of NASA’s mission as this bill advances.”
