Arlington, Va – Aerospace Industries Association President and CEO Eric Fanning today welcomed the successful markup of the fiscal year 2026 defense appropriations bill, which included a more than $20 billion increase from the President’s budget request.
“AIA continues to be a champion of raising the topline to match the threat level, equip our warfighters, and invest in innovation that maintains our asymmetric advantage,” Fanning said. “As the Senate continues to work through fiscal year 2026 appropriations, AIA looks forward to engaging with Congress to appropriate sufficient funds before the fiscal year ends.”
