The Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) recently submitted feedback to the Office of Management and Budget regarding the third tranche of revisions released under the Revolutionary Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Overhaul effort — FAR Part 6 (Competition Requirements). The comments emphasized the importance of retaining full and open competition as a cornerstone of the federal procurement process and ensuring that exceptions to competition are used only when they satisfy the statutory criteria and mission needs. AIA and our members support the ongoing effort to modernize and streamline the federal procurement system, and look forward to continued engagement on this initiative.
