Arlington, Va. – Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) President and CEO Eric Fanning today applauded the State Department after they modified the Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR) policy for unmanned aerial systems (UAS), streamlining the export of UAS systems to the world.
“This much-needed change to the Missile Technology Control Regime export policy recognizes the evolving nature of the threat environment and will make U.S. companies more competitive in an ever-growing UAS market,” Fanning said. “This new, common-sense approach to MTCR will allow U.S. companies to out innovate our competitors, streamline the arms transfer process, and provide predictability for American manufacturers.”
