Arlington, Va.  – The Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) has awarded Scott Donnelly, Chairman and CEO of Textron Inc., the Wright Stuff Award—AIA’s highest individual honor recognizing exceptional leadership and lasting contributions to the aerospace and defense industry.

Named in tribute to the pioneering spirit of Orville and Wilbur Wright, the Wright Stuff Award celebrates individuals who embody innovation, vision, and impact across the aerospace ecosystem. Donnelly was selected for his decades-long commitment to advancing American aerospace technology, strengthening the industrial base, and championing the role of manufacturing and engineering excellence in national security.

Under Donnelly’s leadership, Textron has expanded its portfolio of cutting-edge platforms, supported thousands of jobs across the United States, and remained a key partner in both commercial and defense innovation. Over his 20 years of service on AIA’s Executive Committee, his voice has been instrumental in advancing policies that promote competitiveness and American leadership in global markets.

The Wright Stuff Award was presented during AIA’s Fall Board of Governors meeting, where industry leaders gathered to reflect on 2025 milestones and chart a course for the year ahead.
