Arlington, Va. – Aerospace Industries Association President and CEO Eric Fanning today responded to the Executive Order aimed at overhauling the defense sales system.
“Every warfighter equipped with American-made technology steps on the battlefield with a decisive, asymmetric advantage — and our partners know it. That’s why demand for U.S. systems remains so strong,” Fanning said. “This Executive Order ensures that the United States is able to deliver at a speed and scale that meets both demand and the threat environment.
“With increasing global competition and geopolitical instability, the United States cannot afford to rely on a slow, Cold War-era system. This Executive Order not only strengthens U.S. national security immediately by accelerating the delivery of critical capabilities to our partners, but it also reinforces the long-term health of the defense industrial base by providing predictability, stability, and sustained demand.”
