Arlington, Va. – The Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) today announced that Jess Moore, most recently of GE Aerospace, has joined the trade association as Vice President of Legislative Affairs. In this role, Moore will lead the development and execution of AIA’s comprehensive legislative strategy, advancing the organization’s policy priorities, advocacy efforts, and membership objectives.

“Jess has already proven herself an invaluable partner to the Aerospace Industries Association and a powerful advocate for our industry,” said Eric Fanning, AIA President and CEO. “She brings a rare mix of deep policy expertise and industry experience — she’s strategic, she’s trusted, and she knows how to get results. Her leadership will strengthen our voice at a moment when the stakes for U.S. aerospace and defense have never been higher.”

Moore brings extensive experience in federal legislative advocacy, international security cooperation, and aerospace and defense industry engagement. Most recently, she served as Senior Director of Global Government Relations at GE Aerospace, where she led engagement with the Executive Branch and Congress on issues including trade, export controls, supply chain policy, and defense and commercial sales. Prior to her time at GE Aerospace, Moore was Director of International Security Cooperation at Textron Inc.

Moore also has significant public-sector experience. At the U.S. Department of State, she served as Acting Assistant Secretary and Deputy Assistant Secretary of House Affairs, leading the congressional engagement and managing a large, multidisciplinary team. Earlier in her career, Moore held senior positions in the U.S. House of Representatives. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech).
