Artificial intelligence and machine learning can transform aviation by improving safety, efficiency, and system performance. U.S. aerospace companies are working to advance these technologies while maintaining aviation’s safety protocols and public trust. As global regulators consider how to enable AI/ML in aviation, close industry–government collaboration will be essential. To support that work, AIA has outlined principles for a proportionate, risk‑based, globally aligned regulatory approach that protects safety while enabling innovation.
