Arlington, Va. – In case you missed it, Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) President and CEO Eric Fanning joined NewsNation Live with Connell McShane to discuss the interconnected nature of the non-defense and defense aerospace industrial bases amid the ongoing conflict in Iran and the tumultuous air travel happening around the globe.
During the interview, Fanning emphasized the importance of stable and predictable funding from Congress for both the non-defense and the defense industrial base to provide a level of certainty, especially as the defense industrial base is surging as the conflict in Iran continues. Fanning remained optimistic that air travel should be back to normal because of the demand among travelers.

In February, Fanning penned a letter to Congress outlining AIA’s legislative priorities. At the top of the list: stable and predictable funding, especially as the aerospace and defense industry continues to see surges in demand.
