Arlington, Va. – Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) President and CEO Eric Fanning today issued the following statement after the House Armed Services Committee released its National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2027:
“For too long, the systems and processes that support the aerospace and defense industry haven’t kept pace with the demands placed on it. This year’s NDAA takes an ‘all of the above’ approach to strengthening the defense industrial base — aligning the Pentagon and industry with smarter policy so we can deliver capability faster, more reliably, and with real resilience.”
“We appreciate that the Chairman’s mark included provisions that will simplify commercial buying, streamline acquisition processes, and strengthen the defense supply chain. These provisions will ensure industry and the Pentagon can operate together more effectively and respond to emerging challenges with greater agility.”
“We appreciate the leadership of Chairman Rogers and Ranking Member Smith, as well as the Committee’s continued bipartisan commitment to ensuring the United States maintains a strong, ready, and responsive industrial base.”
