Arlington, Va. – The Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) today announced that Sarah Crawford is joining the organization as Senior Director for International Affairs after stints in the federal government and within the defense industry as a trade expert.
“Foreign defense sales are no longer a niche issue for the U.S. aerospace and defense industry — they are central to growth, competitiveness, and global leadership,” AIA President and CEO Eric Fanning said. “As AIA continues to expand its engagement on this issue, it’s critical we have top talent like Sarah, who has both the industry and government experience needed to help advance our members’ priorities, here at home and with foreign partners. Her experience will strengthen our work at a time when these issues matter more than ever.”
Sarah joins from a top defense company, where she served as Senior Manager for International Trade and Global Policy. She also brings 15 years of experience in the federal government, including 12 years overseas.
She holds a Master’s degree in International Economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and attended the Arabic Language Institute at the American University in Cairo.
