Avani Rambharose
Coordinator, Civil Aviation, Space Systems, and Engineering & Technology
Avani Rambharose is the Coordinator for the Civil Aviation, Space Systems, and Engineering & Technology teams at AIA, where she supports policy initiatives, member engagement, and industry programming across the civil aviation, space, and emerging technology sectors.
Prior to joining AIA, Rambharose worked in space and defense government affairs at Velos in Washington, D.C., where she tracked congressional and federal policy developments affecting the aerospace and defense industries and supported government engagement on behalf of clients. She previously worked on the congressional relations team at the Peace Corps and has held roles focused on legislative affairs, national security, and public policy. Rambharose is also the founder of the Diaspora Youth Initiative, an education-focused nonprofit serving more than 3,000 students across five public schools in Guyana.
Originally from New York, Rambharose earned her bachelor’s degree in Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics, and Government (CLEG) from American University in Washington, D.C. She also studied at Sciences Po Lille in France, with coursework focused on international affairs and French language and culture.
