Washington, D.C.: Sydney – The Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) and the Space Industry Association of Australia (SIAA) today reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation across the space sector, leveraging their roles as leading trade associations to keep industry connected, engage their respective governments, and promote shared global space norms.
This strategic alignment, framed within the important alliance between Australia and the United States, reflects a shared vision for a secure, innovative, and globally integrated space economy. AIA and SIAA will work together to support interoperability, responsible space governance, and the development of resilient supply chains and advanced technologies across both nations’ civil, commercial, and national security space sectors.
“AIA is committed to ensuring the space industry remains connected, informed, and aligned with national and international priorities,” said Eric Fanning, AIA President and CEO. “With our partners at SIAA, we’re helping shape the future of space exploration, science, and security through collaboration and leadership.”
SIAA CEO Dan Lloyd added, “SIAA and AIA are natural partners, perfectly placed to accelerate partnerships between our space industries to drive innovation and strengthen our strategic capabilities. We are looking forward to driving and growing and robust space ecosystem, ultimately supporting a more resilient and secure Indo-Pacific region.”
To celebrate this collaboration, AIA and SIAA hosted an evening of conversation, connection, and discovery during one of the most exciting weeks in the global space calendar, in partnership with SIAA Foundation Member Norton Rose Fulbright. Coinciding with the International Astronautical Congress, this networking reception brought together professionals from government, industry, finance, design, and engineering to exchange ideas and explore future opportunities within the rapidly evolving space economy.
