Arlington, Va. (July 11, 2023) – The Aerospace Industries Association (AIA), the leading voice for the American aerospace and defense industry, today announced the hiring of Chad Kirk as Senior Director of Civil Aviation.

Kirk joins AIA after working at Airspace Link, where he was the Head of Government and Policy Affairs. In this position, Kirk served as a focal point for all policy and regulatory matters. Kirk also previously served as the Head of Policy at the Reliable Robotics Corporation and, over his combined 15 years of federal service, held multiple positions in the FAA, where he served as a subject matter expert regarding Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) safety and integration. He is a veteran of the Marine Corps with extensive service-driven leadership experience in strategic policy, project and program management, uncrewed aircraft systems, and interagency coordination. Kirk holds a master’s degree in Defense and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College.
