Arlington, Va. – The Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) today welcomed the White House’s Presidential Memorandum on National Space Transportation Policy, which optimizes and grows the nation’s space launch ecosystem by strengthening launch capacity, the industrial base, and U.S. global leadership in space transportation.

“As launch demand outpaces capacity, improvements and investment in our space launch infrastructure will determine America’s superiority and global competitiveness in space,” said AIA President and CEO Eric Fanning. “This memorandum recognizes the importance of modernizing infrastructure, harnessing in-space logistics, and driving strong domestic supply chains to ensure American industry remains the global gold standard. AIA has long supported policies that modernize space transportation capabilities, and our industry stands ready to work with the Administration to implement these policies to achieve more than 1,000 launches and reentries a year by 2030.”
