Arlington, Va. (August 14, 2023) – The Aerospace Industries Association (AIA), the leading voice for the American aerospace and defense industry, today announced that long-time civil aviation leader Di Reimold has joined as Vice President of Civil Aviation, effective August 14.

“With the growing need to anticipate and respond to the evolution across aerospace, AIA’s advocacy on behalf of our member companies and our industry’s more than two million employees is more important than ever,” said Eric Fanning, AIA’s President and CEO.“Di’s decades of industry and public service experience will enhance AIA’s reputation as a leader and resource for civil aviation expertise and strengthen our voice in Washington, DC. She is a tremendous addition to our unparalleled senior leadership team.”

Reimold comes to AIA from her previous position as Deputy Vice President of the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Flight Program Operations, where she was a senior leader in the Air Traffic Organization, responsible for all aspects of the agency’s flight inspection program. Reimold has 30 years of leadership experience in multiple offices of the FAA, including the Office of Aviation Safety, International Aviation, and Commercial Space Transportation. She was also the Head of Global Policy, Safety and Flight Operations at the International Air Transport Association (IATA) from 2011 to 2016. Di has a Master’s degree in Management and holds leadership positions in the International Aviation Women’s Association and the International Aviation Club of Washington.
