Arlington, Va. – Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) President and CEO Eric Fanning today commended Congress for passing a continuing resolution, keeping key functions, including the Department of Defense (DOD), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), among other critical functions, open.
“AIA appreciates Congress’ vote to keep the government open, but this bill is just a temporary solution to a recurring issue,” Fanning said. “Our industry relies on clear and strong demand signals from the government, and continuing resolutions only muddy them. We encourage Congress to get back to passing regular, full-year appropriations that will empower the aerospace and defense industry, driving innovation, empowering economic growth, and securing the country.”
