Arlington, Va. — After months of tireless effort and weeks of negotiation, bipartisan leaders of the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives Armed Services committees reached an agreement on the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2021. Today, Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) President and CEO Eric Fanning released a statement urging passage of the legislation:

“Year after year, the NDAA provides critical capabilities and investments in innovation. It also provides direction and stability to the Department of Defense and America’s armed forces, as well as the world-class industrial base workforce that supports them. Especially amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the certainty that the NDAA offers the country, our companies, and our hundreds of thousands of employees is essential.

“This legislation sends a clear message to our allies and adversaries that security remains among our nation’s highest priorities. We urge all Members of Congress to vote for this bipartisan legislation.”
