Arlington, Va. – The Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) today released the following statement ahead of the Senate’s vote on a continuing resolution, taking steps to avoid a government shutdown:
“The Aerospace Industries Association supports House and Senate efforts to pass a continuing resolution to keep the government funded and prevent a shutdown ahead of the September 30 deadline. We are committed to working with Congress and the Administration to secure enactment of the President’s FY27 request for significant and needed levels of defense funding through the annual appropriations process, reconciliation legislation, and any necessary supplemental funding measures. AIA backs ongoing efforts by Congress and the Administration to advance and strengthen defense investment and maximize the resources available in reconciliation 3.0 to support the warfighter, maintain the stability needed to meet evolving national security requirements, sustain critical aerospace and defense programs, and expand industrial base capacity.”
