Arlington, Va. – In case you missed it, Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) President and CEO Eric Fanning joined Brenden Swanik’s podcast, Chasing Space, to discuss how AIA is advancing the shared priorities of the United States aerospace and defense industrial base to remain competitive globally and to make sure the government is a good partner for industry.

During the interview, Fanning discussed the need for stable demand signals from government customers, continued private investment into the industry, the strain on our space supply chain, and maintaining a highly skilled workforce. He also congratulated NASA on the recent Artemis II launch and called for continued support for NASA’s exploration plans.

In March, AIA released a new study on the space supply chain with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). In the study, AIA and PwC found that growth of the space industrial base has outpaced the supply chain at an unsustainable rate and provides recommendations to address these challenges. You can read the full study here

AIA also recently released the 2026 Space Priorities, calling on the U.S. government to strengthen American leadership.
